Mugen Type-R

Finally, after years of importing from Japan, we can finally get hold of Official Mugen parts in the UK from a UK dealer! THere is now a small dealer network who supply parts for Civic's, s2000, and Integra's (Odd choice given limited UKDM availability)!

The best news is they are here properly and although the range is limited now, they will be pushing forward more stuff if people ask for it! So will someone please tell them to release a JDM Mugen Civic RR please?

For more information, check out the official Mugen Europe website:

Feel's FD2 Type-R JDM vs Feels FG2 Si USDM

E-mail Print PDF

This is a great battle. Although the outcome is obvious. The USDM Civic Si does look good though. Nice shape, especially in this Feel's tuned edition. This is a 2 part video. Both cars are 2.0 engines based off our Type R. STandard the US Civic Si has 200BHP whilst the JDM Type-R has 220bhp. But the JDM car has an LSD and other enhancments also. As the drive says these cars are night and day in difference. Amazing how the 3 different Civics of this generation differ. Surely its a waste of money on Honda's part making 3 wildly different cars? The FN2 FD2 and FG2.

These are Feel's modded FG2 Civic Si and FD2 Civic Type R. Drift racers Orido Manabu and Taniguchi Nobuteru drive both cars and give their impressions of their differences. The cars have modded suspension, upgraded pads, upgraded titanium (half-titanium on Si) mufflers, but no engine mods. CTR has more mods, including an upgraded ECU, SS brake lines and clutch lines.

Part two of the FD2/FG2 comparo. This time it's Taniguchi giving his impressions.

JDM Mugen Honda Civic RR Advance Concept Video

E-mail Print PDF

I dont believe this. When Mugen announced that the UKDM Mugen Civic Type-R is definitely going to happen. We were happy, as it ment Mugen parts available in the UK for the first time ever officially in largish numbers. Although personally we were sad that the JDM Mugen RR will never make it over. And now days after this announcement Mugen Japan go and show off this...

Mugen Civic RR Advance Concept

Weighing only 1095kg the full carbon fibre Civic RR Advanced Concept is best in its class on the famous Tsukuba Circuit.  Clocking the fastest FF time ever of  1m 04s! Its incredible that a car like this exists, whilst its also a giant kick in the teeth that we will never get to drive one! Power is upped to 260bhp up from the 240 of the Mugen RR, and a s2000 style 9000rpm. Engine upped to a 2.2l. The great has become the best.

Also of note: The Cheek of Mugen to slap GB plates on a car never to come to the UK.... unless they are giving me a birthday present?

UKDM Honda Documentary

This is a great watch. Just about the UK Honda scene from the perspective of three people who have been in it for a long time. Well worth a watch, with some nice Civic's, Integras, and Prelude action. Two part documentary.
